(STOCKBRIDGE, MI)— Father’s Day Weekend marks the 22nd annual A Day in the Village Festival held in the rural town of Stockbridge encouraging families to come out and enjoy the sun and fun. Returning this year to the festival is the Be Fit 5k Fun Run. The race hosts runners, walkers and dogs of all ages and ability, and allows participants to either race to the finish or casually stroll through town with their family.
The race was started in 2013 by a collaboration of Stockbridge community members and this year has become local business Positively Chiropractic’s staple event. “We all had so much fun running it ourselves every year that we welcomed the role as race director for 2016,” said Positively Chiropractic’s co-owner Dr. Erin Clifton. “It’s all about creating a safe environment and community that are committing to making positive lifestyle choices.”
Race starts at 8AM Saturday June 18th. Registration can be found at positivelychiropractic.com. The start and finish line will be located in downtown Stockbridge Town Square at W Main St & N Clinton St. For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit stockbridgechamber.com
