The 22nd annual A Day in The Village returns this Father’s Day weekend June 17th & 18th to celebrate creativity and family fun in the small farming town of Stockbridge. Attendees can expect to see handmade crafts, local food and drinks, kid’s activities, live entertainment, a fireworks show and more.
Launched in 1995 by the Stockbridge Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC), A Day in the Village has grown larger every year. “The SACC and the festival are run by volunteers who give hundreds of hours of their time and I don’t think most people know that,” said Donna Lippens former SACC president. Lippens, who co-founded the festival, says, “The goal of A Day in the Village is help to promote downtown development as well as providing a fun time for people and our surrounding community.”
Admission to the festival is always free. Fireworks will be held at dusk and can be viewed best in Veterans Memorial Park on N Wood St. Arts, crafts, and food vendor applications are available while they last.
